Our client is an automotive 1st / 2nd tier supplier, a traditional well-established privately owned engineering company with sites across the Midlands.

They are involved in the batch manufacture of components for several OEMs across a number of sectors and are currently in a period of sustained organic and acquisitive growth with substantial investment in new machinery and infrastructure.

They are currently seeking an experienced Team Leader who can lead a team of up to 12 team members across an afternoon or night shift within the CNC and traditional machine shop all producing parts within strict quality / cost / delivery parameters. Whilst experienced candidates are preferred individuals looking to take the next step up the career ladder into a supervisor role will also be considered.

This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for organising labour and machine time, and delivering business KPI’s that influence Safety, Quality, Environmental and Production Performance and the Cost of Manufacture - if you want to sit behind a desk all day this is not the position for you.

The required candidate will ideally have proven experience of team management and knowledge CNC of machining - we are particularly interested in ambitious candidates who want to progress their career further.

The role is either afternoon shift - 2 till 10 Monday to Friday or night shift 10 to 7 Monday to Thursday.

The company offers a base salary circa £40 - 45,000 plus a structured career path into supervisory management.
