Location - Rochester, Kent

Salary - £26,000 to £30,000 per annum

Hours - Monday to Friday

Can you operate manual machines and have an understanding of calculating speeds?

We have an amazing opportunity in Rochester for a CNC Setter/Operator to work for one of our clients who are a UK based designer, manufacturer, and distributor of components & Systems.

Responsibilities

• Program and operate CNC milling machines (3 and 4 axis)
• Quality checking work
• Maintaining a clean and safe work area
• Other duties as deemed reasonable

Skills and Experience

• Good experience with CNC Lathes
• Experienced with manual machines: lathes, mills, cylindrical grinders
• Understanding of calculating speeds and feeds to the relative material being cut
• Competent using measurement equipment (i.e. Vernier’s, Bore Micrometers, etc)
• Ability to read drawings to a high level
• Machining of low volume batch components/assemblies to tight tolerances
• Manufacture of jigs, fixtures and tooling to support production and machine shop requirements
