Join a growing team as a CNC Setter, specializing in sliding head technology. At a dynamic manufacturing facility, that produce a vast array of fasteners and bespoke precision components, all crafted in-house by a skilled engineering team.

Package

Perminant / Full Time 

Salary: £15 - £17 per hour (Pay reviews every year)

Overtime: Weekdays at 1.3x / Weekends at 1.5X (overtime is volentary)

Yearly Profit Share 

Hours: 7AM - 4PM (Flexable Hours Available) 

Holidays: 34 including bank holidays

Responsibilities:

• Operate and set Citizen Sliding Head lathes, including L20 and L32 models with LFV.
• Operate and set Miyano Fixed Head lathes utilizing the Fanuc system.
• Program new tasks using established templates.
• Replace and adjust tools, tips, drills, and inserts.
• Measure components against technical drawings using Vernier Calipers, micrometers, ring gauges, and shadowgraphs.
• Adhere to the production job card system.
• Collaborate across departments to ensure seamless production.

Skills Needed: 

• Profound experience with Sliding Head machinery in the fastener industry.
• Strong ability to interpret technical engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with various metals and precision work within tight tolerances.
• Proficiency in G-code programming for optimal machine cycle times and tooling efficiency.
