A1 Personnel are currently recruiting for a CNC Setter/ Operator and Programmer for a permanent contract on behalf of our client based in Aylesford, Kent.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Set up CNC machines according to job specifications, including selecting and installing appropriate tooling and fixtures.
  • Program CNC machines using CAM software to generate toolpaths and optimize machining processes.
  • Perform test runs and make necessary adjustments to ensure adherence to quality standards and production requirements.
  • Monitor machine operations, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine maintenance as needed to ensure smooth production flow.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes and improve overall efficiency.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of finished parts to verify conformance to specifications and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of machining processes, including tooling setups, program revisions, and production logs.

Requirements :

  • Experience of 3 or 5 axis VMC machining.
  • Siemens and Heidenheim controls would be ideal.
  • Experience of CAM software Powermill would be ideal.
  • Practical skills and experience with hand tools and machinery such as a Band saw.
  • Familiarity with engineering drawings.
  • Understanding of inspection measuring equipment.

Hours :

Monday to Friday

7am to 3pm OR 8am to 4pm

Overtimes available.
