CNC Service Engineer

Our client has a vacancy for an experienced CNC Service Engineer to join our welcoming team in Coalville, Leicestershire. This full-time Service Engineer role comes with a favourable salary and benefits package, including extensive travel to global customer sites.

As a Service Engineer, you will take responsibility for completing on-site service work around the world. This work could include basic maintenance and service work and also major axis rebuilds, for example, replacing motion components such as linear rails and ball screws.

In your first few weeks in this Service Engineer role, you can expect to be:

• Responsible for planning of service visits to meet customers' needs
• Being the face of the company when at a customer site carrying out a service
• Carrying out on-site service and maintenance on our client's machines
• Reporting on service activities carried out and keeping accurate time/fault logs on work done

To apply for this Service Engineer role, you must be qualified to a suitable level of competence to allow the candidate to work on mechanical and electrical systems. You will also require the following:

• Experience in direct customer liaison
• Knowledge of modern machine tool operation, maintenance and building
• Qualified to use simple machine tools such as lathes and surface grinders
• Competent in their understanding of machine tool geometric errors and their correction
