A rare opportunity has arisen to join them as a CNC programmer, setter, operator in a well functioning team as they start to build for the future.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Programmer, Setter, and Operator to join our engineering client's team.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in both Siemens and Fanuc controls, with a strong background in offline programming.
This role involves operating and maintaining CNC machinery, ensuring precision, and adhering to safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
Programming and Setup:
- Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs using Siemens and Fanuc controls.
- Set up CNC machines, ensuring correct tooling, fixtures, and material is selected.
- Perform tool changes, offsets, and adjustments as needed.
Operation:
- Operate CNC mills or lathes to produce precision components.
- Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot issues, and make adjustments during production runs.
- Maintain quality standards and meet tight tolerances.
Offline Programming:
- Utilize offline programming software to develop and simulate CNC programs.
- Optimize tool paths, reduce cycle times, and improve efficiency.
Health and Safety:
- Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols.
- Keep work area clean and organized.
- Report any safety concerns promptly.
Work Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- Proven experience as a CNC Programmer, Setter, and Operator.
- Familiarity with both Siemens and Fanuc controls.
- Offline programming expertise.
Skills:
- Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret specifications.
- Proficiency in using measuring equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
Education:
- GCSEs or equivalent (additional technical certifications preferred).
