CNC Operator - Precision Engineering

Location: Newark Area- accessible from Mansfield, Nottingham and Newark on Trent.

Hours: 39 hours per week, 8.00am - 4.30 pm Mon-Thurs, 8.00am - 3.30pm Friday

Salary:£24000 - £28000 per annum Depending on expereince

We are currently looking for an experienced CNC Operator to join a busy engineering company in the Mansfield area. Due to location, you will need to drive and have your own transport.

The duties of will CNC Operator include:

• Reading and interpreting technical blueprints and design models
• Loading raw materials into the CNC machine
• Inputting the product design into the computer modelling software
• Choosing and loading the correct cutting tools for the job
• Adjusting machine settings to the desired product specifications
• Working to tight tolerances
• Troubleshooting issues during the manufacturing process
• Completing quality control tests during the manufacturing stage and on the final product
• Cleaning and maintaining the machine
• Training new staff on machine operation procedures

The ideal candidate for the role of CNC Operator will have previous experience within an precision engineering environment as well as:

• Expereince working to tight tolerances
• Strong attention to detail
• Experience in interpreting technical drawings and blueprints
• Experience with Audit machines, Colchester Tornado and Haas machines preferred but not essential
• Knowledge of Alan Bradley, Fanuc and Haas operating systems would be an advantage but not essential
• Skilled at troubleshooting and resolving mechanical or logistical problems
• Experience using vertical milling machines and lathes
• Ability to work independently and closely follow directions
• A positive and professional attitude
• A Full driving licence
