Job Description:
Parkside recruitment are currently seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Miller/Turner.

The successful candidate will be responsible for programming and setting up CNC milling and turning machines, with proficiency in Heidhain and Fanuc controls.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program, set up, and operate CNC milling and turning machines.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to determine machining requirements.
  • Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for each job.
  • Perform machine setups and tool changes according to production schedules.
  • Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve machine issues as they arise.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organised work environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to meet production targets and deadlines.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in CNC machining technology.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a CNC Miller/Turner, with expertise in programming and setting up CNC machines.
  • Proficiency in Heidhain and Fanuc controls is essential.
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent technical skills, including the ability to select appropriate tools and materials for each job.
  • Attention to detail and precision in machining operations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Prior experience with routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC machines is preferred.
  • Relevant technical qualifications or apprenticeship in CNC machining is desirable.
