Position: CNC Machinist

Salary: £16PH - £19PH

Location: Kings Lynn


Join our client’s team as a CNC Machinist! Your role will involve operating and maintaining computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines to craft top-notch parts and components. This pivotal position demands technical prowess and meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and execute CNC machines in line with specifications.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and job orders accurately.
  • Utilise CAD/CAM software like SolidWorks to program machines.
  • Monitor machine operations for seamless functionality.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of finished products for quality assurance.
  • Adjust machine settings as required for optimal output.
  • Undertake routine machine maintenance for sustained performance.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and enhance processes

Skills: To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM software, particularly SolidWorks, for CNC machine programming
  • Knowledge of power tool operation and safety protocols
  • Hands-on experience with plastics injection moulding and tooling
  • Capability to weld and assemble components as necessary
  • Strong mathematical acumen for basic calculations
  • Familiarity with the proper usage of hand tools
  • Mechanical aptitude to comprehend machine operations and make adjustments
