Job Opportunity: CNC Machinist (DAY SHIFT)

Location: Stroud

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 07:00 am - 03:45 pm, Friday early finish 07:00 am - 12:45 pm

Salary: £28,000 - £33,000 DOE

Purpose:

Join our client's team and contribute your skills to efficiently set up and operate CNC machines. Your role is crucial in ensuring the timely production of high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prioritise safety, adhering to Health and Safety policies to ensure a secure work environment.
• Maintain quality standards by inspecting and cleaning parts, adhering to 5S principles.
• Set up machines using provided instructions and tools, ensuring accurate production.
• Follow work schedules and instructions from Production Supervisors for seamless operations.
• Record production hours accurately and report any non-productive time.
• Monitor machine performance and adjust as needed to meet production targets.
• Conduct in-cycle inspections using precision tools and document findings.
• Provide feedback for improvement in CNC programs and setups.
• Collaborate with colleagues for efficient resource utilisation and shift handovers.
• Support apprenticeship programs and on-the-job learning initiatives.
• Promptly report non-conforming parts and assist in root cause analysis.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Completed apprenticeship or equivalent experience in machining.
• Proficient in workshop practices and CNC machining.
• Familiarity with Duplex and Nickel Alloy Materials preferred.
• Strong numerical and literacy skills.
• Competent in MS Office applications and internet use.

Overtime:

• Weekdays: 1.5 x basic hourly rate
• Saturday: 1.5 x basic hourly rate
• Sunday: 2 x basic hourly rate
