This global manufacturer of engineered services is renowned for providing tailored automated solutions to customers on a worldwide scale. Based in Hertfordshire, our client is offering permanent career opportunities for experienced CNC machinists, those who can demonstrate at least 2-3 years of precision machining skill and expertise. Working on a rotating AM/PM shift, the annual salary is approx. £38,000 (inclusive of shift allowance) and offers paid overtime.

We are currently developing a range of automated solutions, which include the manufacturing of electric motors, gearboxes, power transmission products, and a range of high-end motion control parts. We are looking for individuals who have proven tooling and machining skills to fill these positions. This role will offer plenty of variety, and you will have the opportunity to operate and program a range of machine tools, including mills, lathes, and grinders. Your main responsibility will be to produce high-spec parts using various metals and materials, and therefore, having a keen eye for fine detail and quality manufacturing is a key requirement.

Your ability to read and work from complex engineering drawings is crucial. You will be responsible for setting, assessing, and reviewing CNC programmes and settings, and working with a range of automated machinery and hand tools such as micrometres, verniers, and gauges. You will also need to consistently inspect the quality of products from initial manufacture to finish.

As an experienced CNC Machinist, there is a need to assist with the training of new production operators, providing first-hand advice and support on general CNC operation, therefore offering you plenty of training and personal development in the role ensuring that your career continues to grow and evolve with the business.
