An established manufacturer of subcontractor parts for the high-end automotive and aerospace industries is currently seeking to urgently hire Manufacturing Machine Minders in Swindon. The vacancies are permanent, offering a Monday to Friday work schedule featuring an alternating shift pattern of 6:00 am to 2:00 pm/2:00 pm to 10:15 pm. Friday shift patterns will conclude earlier than usual.

The salary for these positions is £28675, including shift pay, and presents an excellent opportunity for career advancement. The ideal candidate should possess Engineering related qualifications, such as a Level 2/3 Diploma, or similar. Candidates with a keen interest in an engineering career would find this position particularly suited to their aspirations.

Successful candidates will work as part of a professional manufacturing team and experience excellent training levels, with full involvement in all areas of CNC Machine Minding and general tooling. Candidates with experience in a manufacturing environment and hands-on experience working with specific measurement tools such as gauges, micrometers, lathes, and/or tooling operations should apply.

The career pathway for a Manufacturing Minder can lead to becoming a fully qualified CNC Machinist/Programmer, allowing for growth and development of knowledge within a precision engineering sector. The role of a Manufacturing Minder involves inspecting and checking the overall quality of high-value parts and products, working with high-value materials like aluminium and titanium, and assisting with the cleaning and maintaining of machinery and equipment used in a professional tooling environment.
