Romax are currently looking for a CNC Lathe Machine Operator on behalf of our client based in Loughton, IG10.

Shifts:

  • Monday to Thursday 22:00-07:30am
  • Night Shift
  • £15 - £20 Per Hour (Deoending on experience)

Description:

  • To set CNC lathes with FANUC control is preferred, but training can be provided if the candidate has knowledge of operating CNC sliding head lathes.
  • A background knowledge of Fixed head lathes would be advantageous but not essential.
  • To programme from technical drawing, ensuring parts are within set cycle times.
  • To check components to technical drawings using inspection equipment, adjust offsets and edit programmes.
  • Self-inspection of components and to perform "buddy" checks for first offs, check parts during machine run and perform final inspections.
  • To ensure working areas are clean, tidy and to conform with health and safety risk assessment.
  • To be able to work overtime as required during busy periods.

Requirements:

  • Experience in working in a CNC workshop environment.
  • Programming knowledge of Fanuc controls, but training can be provided to the right candidate.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Good investigative and problem-solving skills that to be utilised constantly.
  • Knowledge of statistical packages and Microsoft Office 365, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Workday would be advantageous
