Job role: CNC EDM Setter/Operator

Location: Tamworth

Working hours: Day shift 40 hours Monday - Friday 7:30 till 16:30

Pay: £16 - £18 per hour DOE

The Company is an established precision manufacturing company in Tamworth that specialize in gears, splines & threads which are used for demanding & high-profile industry.

Job Role

Optima are looking for a skilled CNC EDM Setter/Operator to join our Precision Manufacturing client based in Tamworth.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating high specification EDM equipment to produce gears, gear shafts and Precision Component.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Worked with detailed drawings, process sheets & tooling instructions.

  • Have extensive knowledge of CNC EDM.

  • Minimum of 3 years trades training or equivalent experience and two to four years of related machining experience.

  • Enters data into ERP system.

  • Will be required to operate multiple machines.

  • Able to work with a variety of materials

  • Requires a knowledge of EDM principles, tooling, material characteristics, machine shop procedures and general machining practices.

  • Good communication skills are also essential

  • Self-Motivated and Driven attitude
