Position Description
The Space, Defence and Intelligence business unit in CGI is a true IT Systems Integrator. We work, build, and operate bespoke, technically complex, mission-critical systems which help our clients keep us all safe and secure. We bring innovation to our clients using proven and emerging technologies, agile delivery processes and our deep expertise across the breadth of space, defence, intelligence, aerospace and maritime, all underpinned by our end-to-end cyber capability. We work collaboratively with global technology companies, cutting edge SMEs and academia to deliver the optimal solution for each client.

We are looking for CloudOps Engineers who are passionate about and comfortable working with a wide range of technologies to deliver solutions that help to keep our country safe. Taking responsibility to Design, implement (development through to production) and maintain operations of secure cloud environments using either AWS or Microsoft Azur.

Working in a hybrid working environment from our CGI offices or on a customer site, we help our clients with some of their most complex IT challenges. Our engineers have the opportunity to construct some of the most unique and exciting software solutions within the industry. You can expect be involved in all stages of the project and system life-cycles.

Your future duties and responsibilities
Design, implement and maintain operations of secure cloud environments (development through to production).

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Cloud - AWS.
Agile / DevOps Development.
Automation skills (e.g. Infrastructure as Code), to provision and manage environments using technologies such as Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation or ARM.
Linux and Windows OS experience, including scripting (e.g. Powershell and Bash).
Container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Setting up and configuring CI / CD pipelines and tools (e.g. Jenkins, Bitbucket, SonarQube).
Log collection technologies and monitoring platforms (e.g. ELK Stack or Splunk).

Desired Competencies:
Technologies: AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Openshift, Ansible (IaC), CI CD Pipelines.
Databases: MongoDB, Oracle, MySQL.
Tooling: Eclipse, Jenkins, Atlassian suite, Robot Framework, JMeter, Ansible.
Problem Solving.

Working Location: whilst some work can be undertaken remotely, candidates must be able to work from offices in Gloucester, Manchester &/or (central) London to undertake this role.

All successful applicants must hold, or be eligible & willing to obtain, UK SC clearance with the view to progressing to higher level clearance if required.
