Profectus are looking for a Cloud Solution Engineer looking to join our industry leading client. The role will require you to work 2 days a week on-site in Newbury, and the client offers an exceptional benefits package including perks such as 10% non-contributory pension.

As a Cloud Solution Engineer, you'll design, implement, and maintain digital services for both cloud-based and on-site systems, covering servers, storage, supporting systems, and security controls. You'll define and manage cloud hosted solutions and associated costs, ensuring awareness of new hosting services. Ensuring availability of key resources like data systems, risk rating, and public services is crucial, while managing a hosting budget of approximately £200k per annum. Providing expert guidance on industry best practices and company policies, particularly focusing on availability and cost, is also a key aspect of the role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct system updates and patches for security and efficiency.
  • Document system configurations and update manuals.
  • Perform system audits for compliance with industry standards and certifications.
  • Assist in system administration tasks including backups, monitoring, and issue troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate within the Cloud Solution team for data protection, monitoring, and system performance.
  • Integrate platforms with other systems through cross-functional team collaboration.
  • Provide technical support and guidance for hosted solutions.
  • Lead regular audits of hosted systems for compliance.
  • Implement solutions to enhance processes and meet SLA requirements.
  • Generate usage reports for flagship products and contribute to hosting improvements.
  • Manage and improve hosted solutions through tools, policies, procedures, and education.
