£60,000 - £80,000 DOE

Role Overview:

We are currently seeking a talented Cloud Operations Manager to join our client's team. In this role, you will lead the Cloud Operations team responsible for architecting, deploying, and maintaining the infrastructure supporting the SaaS offering to clients and internal stakeholders. This is an excellent opportunity to lead a team of experienced engineers and contribute to strategic decision-making while leveraging your technical expertise in cloud architecture and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor the Cloud Operations team to ensure optimal performance and professional development.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external cloud providers, and other relevant business units.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in cloud technologies, particularly Azure, and effectively utilize related tools such as HaloITSM, Terraform, Azure DevOps, and Git.
  • Allocate resources effectively to support operational tasks, development initiatives, and team management responsibilities.

Skills and Experience Required:

Essential:

  • Minimum 3 years of managerial experience in an IT environment.
  • Demonstrable expertise in Azure cloud technologies.
  • Strong understanding of ticket management systems, ITIL practices, and service desk tooling.
  • Proficiency in system administration, including Azure Active Directory, Active Directory, and Windows Server.
  • Experience with automation tools such as Terraform and Azure DevOps.
  • Solid knowledge of version control using Git.

Desirable:

  • Experience in database administration, particularly with Azure SQL Database.
  • Familiarity with Linux system administration, specifically CentOS and AlmaLinux.
  • Scripting skills in PowerShell and Bash.
