Applause IT are proud to be working with a leading telecoms business looking to recruit a Cloud Infrastructure Support Engineer covering their North West region.

You will be responsible for deploying and managing the cloud-hosted and legacy customer-hosted platforms. Alongside this you will be responding to customer issues by providing remote and where required on-site customer/IT support to diagnose and resolve problems.

The successful Cloud Infrastructure Support Engineer will have experience in the following:

• Cloud Infrastructure Engineer experience of at least 2 years, ideally coupled with customer support exposure (e.g., Technical/Desktop Support or Field/Customer Support).
• Proficiency in Azure, encompassing IaaS design & deployment.
• Understanding of Application, Server, and Network Security, as well as compliance requirements.
• Proficient in SQL Server.
• Competence in Router/Firewall management, VPNs, and network segregation such as vLANs & DMZs following security best practices.
• Skilled in building and configuring Windows Servers (2012 - 2019) and Desktops, with a preference for Linux familiarity.
• Experience and ideally certifications in Azure, Microsoft, Linux, Cisco, or similar technologies.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively transfer knowledge.
• Well-organised, self-motivated, with the capability to prioritise and handle multiple tasks.
• Possession of a valid UK driving license.
