Clinical Quality Assurance Advisor

£35,000 - £45,000 plus car allowance

Working as part of the Quality Assurance team, you'll be auditing and coaching teams across the business to ensure best practice and high standards, adhering to legislative, professional and regulatory requirements.

It's a clinically focused role too, and you'll be acting as a clinical advisory within the business. A key part of this role will be to identify and mitigate risk.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintaining a broad working knowledge of current recommended clinical practice
  • Ensuring the business is compliant and following up to date clinical guidance and evidence based practice.
  • Writing policies, procedures and documents to reflect current NICE guidance
  • Advise colleagues with regards to clinical incidents, queries and safeguarding
  • Internal audits of branches across the UK to ensure they meet the requirements of the CQC fundamental standards, company policies and procedures as well as legislation
  • Writing comprehensive audit reports assigning risk ratings and ensuring findings are corrected and preventative measures have been considered
  • Suggesting new ideas and driving forward plans to maintain compliance and support the growth and change of the business
  • Highlighting any concerns you may have to the Senior Leadership Team and Head of QA
  • Assisting with crisis management when required in branches identified as high risk
  • Maintain high working knowledge of CQC fundamental standards
  • To assist branches in preparing for a CQC inspection, including guidance on the completion of contact lists, Provider Information Requests and preparing their team for inspection.
  • To provide guidance and support in relation to complaints, incidents, accidents and safeguarding.
  • To mentor and coach the branch teams based on real, practical experience, providing them with ideas and suggestions which assist them in building effective systems and processes for quality assurance.
  • To assist in conducting training sessions to provide staff with the knowledge and tools needed to deliver a service which is compliant and of exceptional quality.
  • Regularly travelling to sites across the UK

What skills and experience will you need?

  • Holder of a professional healthcare qualification (nursing etc)
  • Experience in a clinical/care setting.
  • Experience with auditing and training
  • Experience in policy and document writing.
  • Computer literate.
  • Confident communicator and excellent attention to detail
  • Driving licence and flexibility to travel
