The salary for this permanent Clinical Pharmacistjob is £45,000 per annum.

Main Duties:

  • Responsible for quality assurance and the carrying out of risk assessments.
  • Supports the development, validation, and maintenance of the Electronic Patient Record (EPR), and EPR/Pharmacy automation related medication databases and dictionaries, supporting the development of EPR related training programs.
  • Works with multidisciplinary colleagues to ensure that medicines prescribed for patients represent the safest treatment option.
  • Assures timely and effective provision of medicines for our patients.
  • Provides high quality advice and counselling to patients to support medicines adherence.

Requirements of the Clinical Pharmacist:

  • Completion of a master’s degree in pharmacy (or equivalent).
  • Current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Demonstrable evidence of competence in general clinical practice, including medicine and surgery.
  • Experience of applying clinical reasoning skills to a range of complex and varied patient requirements.
  • Experience of working in a hospital, and of project related work in this environment.
