We are currently recruiting for a junior Lawyer with experience in clinical negligence to join a thriving in-house legal team at a renowned membership organisation in central London!

Role Overview:

  • Investigating and assisting in both non-contentious and contentious claims within a varied workload, including providing advice, case preparation, and representing members in defence of clinical negligence cases at all stages.
  • Handling a diverse range of medical-related cases.
  • Working within a highly motivated, professional, and team-focused environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the team on clinical negligence cases by attending meetings with members, arranging and attending conferences, and liaising with third-party solicitors, insurers, counsel, and medical experts.
  • Managing day-to-day operations of claims throughout all stages of litigation.
  • Drafting Court Documents and filing them appropriately.
  • Cultivating relationships with members, offering support throughout clinical negligence cases.
  • Drafting various documents and correspondence, including witness statements, letters of instruction to counsel, and communications to medical experts.
  • Coordinating document retrieval, such as medical records and reports.
  • Conducting legal research to facilitate the team in providing concise and practical advice.
