Part-time Client/Service Charge Accountant

North London

£45,000 - £50,000 (pro-rata)

Cobalt is currently assisting a dynamic Property Investment firm in their search for an Client / Service Charge Accountant to join their property investment team. The role entails overseeing all property and company accounts processes.

We are seeking a proactive, self-motivated individual with the confidence to work autonomously while ensuring tasks are completed promptly to support business objectives. The successful candidate will work across both residential and commercial properties on Qube.

Responsibilities:

- Managing journal entries
- Handling accruals and prepayments
- Updating tenant charges to reflect caps increases
- Ensuring accuracy of tenant's apportionment's
- Preparing and closing service charges while adhering to the RICS service charge code
- Balancing service charge charges
- Posting invoices to the system and ensuring timely payments on weekly runs
- Posting/reconciling loan payments
- Recording rent receipts and conducting bank reconciliations
- Reconciling letting/completion statements
- Setting up/varying rent charges/service charges on Qube
- Issuing commercial rent and service charge demands
- Issuing ground rent demands

Requirements:

- Collaborative team player
- Passionate about the position and the business
- Experience with Qube property management is essential
- Willingness to take full ownership of the role
- Background in service charge accounting
- Real estate experience
