Spencer Clarke Group are excited to be working closely with a well-established Chartered Accountancy firm of over 40 years, within the Staffordshire area.

This firm has 3 offices within the area, including Newcastle Under Lyme, Cheshire and Leek.

Currently, they are looking for a Client Manager to join their practice, in a role offering progression and development potential. This role is open to candidates with experience in a similar role. (Qualified by experience and ACA/ACCA qualified will be considered).

This role is based at the head office in Newcastle under Lyme.

Role Description:

Dealing with a wide spectrum of clients from sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, with a key focus on proactively supporting clients.

You will take on the management of an existing portfolio, where you will be responsible for delivering a quality service.

Your portfolio will focus on accounts preparation, taxation and other general accountancy practice services. 

Clients are varied and you will have the opportunity to develop client relationships and deliver on wide ranging projects, working with the wider team.

The firm is expanding and has structured growth and development plans in place and so offers an exciting opportunity.

Main duties include:

  • Managing your own client portfolio
  • Working with the wider team to provide a high quality, proactive service
  • Building long standing client relationships
  • Accounts preparation for sole trade/partnerships/limited company clients
  • Reviewing trainee prepared accounts files, offering constructive feedback and mentorship
  • Tax preparation for personal tax and corporation tax, with some basic tax planning
  • Prioritising your workflow, communicating with your fellow managers, and sharing resources and knowledge where possible.
  • Take on the coordination and delivery of a full service to each client
  • Identifying opportunities to expand our services with existing clients

You will be:

  • Qualified by experience or ACA/ACCA qualified, with a background gained within the accountancy practice sector with skills across accounts, tax and wider ranging general accountancy practice services.
  • Passionate about offering a high-quality service to clients
  • Friendly, and able to communicate clearly to both your colleagues and clients.
  • Have commercial awareness and great time management
