A premier international law firm are seeking an ambitious Client Development Manager with a 'can do’ attitude to help drive an exciting phase of growth for the business.

The firm operates in over thirty countries, working on some of the most challenging and important deals and disputes and have built a reputation for delivering exceptional legal solutions that help their clients grow, innovate and thrive. Last year the firm announced their intention to merge with another law firm to create a new industry leader and an integrated global elite firm. The legal industry is changing, and the firm is committed to leading that change by putting their people first, embracing new ways of thinking and integrating technology into everyday work. The firm’s business teams work hand-in-hand with lawyers, consultants and other specialist teams, and are ambitious, driven and leaders in their field. The current Client Development team is highly commercial with a fantastic team spirit. The Client Development Manager will be an intellectually curious, commercially astute and client focused individual who is excited by the prospect of working directly with Heads of Legal to help deliver resourcing solutions for their teams. Acting as a champion and brand ambassador for the firm externally in the market, the successful candidate will be responsible for the direct management of between 6 -10 key strategic client accounts and all associated engagements for those accounts. You will be tasked with managing the end to end client sales process, which includes sourcing and effectively qualifying new client leads; pitching to clients for business; establishing new and long-term client relationships; taking the client brief; sourcing suitable legal consultants; negotiating commercial terms; and closing deals. It is a fast-moving process that requires an individual with drive, tenacity, strong organisational skills and excellent client management ability.

You will have previous experience in a client-facing business development role in a professional services environment and experience successfully managing a sales process and leading on complex negotiations. You will also have a track record of delivering excellent client service and building strong peer to peer relationships in a consultative sales role. Proactive with excellent communication skills and drive to succeed, the Client Development Manager will possess an entrepreneurial outlook and passion for continually improving processes and client delivery to ensure the firm remains at the forefront of providing a market leading client experience.
