Role Overview

This role sits with the Client Accounting Mixed - Use team, which is a unique opportunity within the property management industry. We are the first managing agent with a dedicated Mixed-Use Client Account division and this role provides an opportunity to grow and get involved in both residential and commercial aspects of client accounting. The role involves managing the day to client accounting responsibilities on the relevant portfolio. Working alongside other client accountants and surveying teams to ensure that the service charge and rental aspects of the portfolios.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reporting to clients (standard and client specific reporting) ensuring all SLAs and KPIs are adhered to
  • Ensure accurate reconciliation of service charge income and expenditure
  • Point of contact for client queries, providing support and advice where necessary
  • Internal point of contact for Surveying colleagues working closely to ensure all client deliverables are met
  • Maintain/Oversee housekeeping of property & leases data on financial database
  • Assist with adhoc tasks as and when required
  • Management of client and property cash-flow and funding
    • Annual property service charge reviews and liaise with Asset Manager and Service Charge Team to ensure completion within best practice guidelines
    • Compliance with Savills policies and procedures
    • Attend client and internal meetings as and when required
    • Instruct Treasury department (following the relevant approvals) of the following;
  • Collection of monies
  • Amendments to Client Accounts
  • Payment of client property related transactions
  • General maintenance of client funds i.e. tenant refunds etc.

Key Skills

The individual who carries out the role of Client Accountant is strong and self-motivated, ideally with solid financial and technical reporting experience in a client service role. Strong Excel spreadsheets skills is a must. The individual has excellent organisation, communication skills with the ability to communicate with all within the business as well as clients.

The individual will be a strong team player with the ability to meet strict deadlines and prioritise their workload. Due to the nature of Property Management the Client Accountant must be able to work in a varied and evolving department.

It is expected that the individual be part qualified (ACCA level) or qualified by experience. Strong analytical skills of all ledgers is required, and, a property transactional background is desired.

It is expected that the individual be enthusiastic and willing to learn.

Team Overview

You will be joining the Mixed-Use team within Property management. There is currently 31 team members within the team and growing. This is made of the Finance Director for Mixed Use Client Accounting, Client Accounting Manager and several Team Leaders that oversee and manage each team respectively. The team are very hard working and supportive of each other.
