Classroom Supervisor

We are recruiting for a Classroom Supervisor for a 11-18 Secondary School in NE46 to work on an on-going basis!

Schools use a Classroom Supervisors to support non-contact time for teachers – you will be given the opportunity to gain teaching experience without being a qualified teacher, in a school which offers a welcoming and supportive teaching and learning environment.

Your role & responsibilities: (*include 4 max)  

• Deliver pre-set lessons and materials in the absence of the main class teacher
• Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for pupils
• Follow and implement the school’s Safeguarding and Behaviour policies
• Liaise with the school’s Cover Manager to provide feedback on classes
• No planning or marking required

Non-negotiables: (*include 4 max)  

• Recent and relevant experience working with children and young people (preferably in an educational setting)
• Graduate-level qualification
• Passion for education
• Hard-working and reliable
