The Recruitment Crowd are recruiting on behalf of our market leading client based in the Barnsley area. We are looking for experienced Class 2 Sweeper Drivers to join the team.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 06:00am to 07:00am start times.

Pay Rate: £14.00 per hour PAYE.

Location: Barnsley, S75.

Job Type: Temporary to permanent.

The Role

  • Operate street sweeping vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Navigate designated routes while adhering to established schedules.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on sweeping equipment as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding any issues or concerns.
  • Will be required to work away from home, with accommodation provided in a paid hotel.

Requirements

  • Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C).
  • Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
  • No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
  • Have a minimum of 2 years proven experience driving the relevant vehicle.
  • Have a full understanding of WTD legislation.
  • Be prepared to work away from home in paid accommodation as required.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A safety-first mindset.
