CLASS 2 Driver

Taskmaster are currently recruiting for a CLASS 2 Driver for our client based in Papworth, near Cambridge.

Main Duties:

  • Operating the vehicles safely, routes all over the country, farm tracks etc as you will be delivering goods to farms.
  • Ensure vehicle is roadworthy and load is safe for the public highway. Comply with all highway rules, e.g. speed limits and weight/height limits.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times whilst carrying out these duties.
  • Maintain accurate records relating to work undertaken, vehicle information and checks, accident reporting, near miss reporting, hours worked, vehicle movements (via tachograph) etc.
  • Ensure compliance with Road Transport Directive, especially in relation to hours worked and declaration of any other employment outside of the Company.
  • Maintain the Company vehicle in a clean and tidy condition.
  • Carry out daily vehicle checks as per laid down procedures, i.e. wheel torquing (weekly) and visual daily wheel nut/tyre checks.
  • Carry out any other reasonable job related tasks as required by the Company.
  • Must be 25 years old and older.
  • Max 6 points on the licence.
  • Must have a MINIMUM OF 2 YEARS experience.

Start time between: 5:00-9:00, roughly 1-4 drops per day (occasional nights out but these are rare).

Pay: £13 per hour with paid breaks. £16.50 after 50hrs (overtime).
