Driver Hire Southampton are currently recruiting for experienced Class 1 Drivers to join our client which specialises in general haulage deliveries.

Information about this Class 1 position:

  • AD HOC ongoing work (Monday to Friday)
  • Delivering palletised goods on a Class 1 curtain sider
  • Completing delivering and some collections around the South Coast area
  • Start time vary between 5:00am-7:00am
  • 10-12 hour days
  • Pallets are loaded and unloaded for you with FLT
  • Communicating with Transport Office
  • Follow routes
  • Complete all relevant paperwork correctly

Requirements for you as a Class 1 Driver:

  • Full UK Class 1 licence
  • Valid CPC and Digi card
  • Minimum of 1 year experience driving a Class 1 vehicle
  • Great communication skills
  • Experience with curtain side trailers/ general haulage deliveries
  • Own transport to commute to and from work
  • Fantastic time keeping and communications skills
  • Complete daily vehicle checks
  • Comply with the companies health and safety procedures
  • Record Tacho hours correctly
