We are pleased to be working on behalf of a global specialist insurance provider, who require a Claims Underwriter / Claims Assessor to join their growing income protection group life team in their London office but accommodating primarily remote working if desired.

Candidates will be responsible for assessing and managing income protection claims through the process. You will assess income protection claims, and provide support to clients with regards absence management as well as identifying non-valid and fraudulent claims. You will undertake the review and follow up of all in-payment income protection claims to verify continued entitlement to benefit, mitigating measures available and accurate claims reversing. Candidates will also be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with brokers, clients and claims providers.

Candidates need to come from a Group Risk / Group Life / Health background and have claims management / underwriting experience. You will have excellent team and communication skills and be confident and competent in dealing with a range of intermediaries and clients. Ideally candidates will hold professional CII qualifications, although this is not essential.
