Civil Structural Engineer

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 (Dependent on Experience)

Location: Hertfordshire or Essex Area

Hunter Mason’s client has been trading for over 60 years and has considerable experience in the following sectors: Hotels & Leisure, Health, Retail, Refurbishment & Conservation, Residential, Education, Design & Build, Industrial, Defence, Estate Management and Public Private Partnerships. They have now identified the need for structural engineer with a strong background in the Civils sector to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design and analysis of Structural components and systems
  • Thorough working knowledge of Eurocodes
  • Regeneration / steel structure experience
  • Utilise Engineering software and tools for modelling and calculations
  • Support project teams in the planning, execution, and completion of Structural Engineering projects
  • Contribute to the preparation of project documentation, including drawings and specifications
  • Participate in site visits and inspections to gain practical insights into construction processes
  • Stay informed about industry trends, codes, and standards

We are looking for a candidate who is:

  • Based within the Hertfordshire or Essex Area
  • Ideally a degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5-10 Years Experience in structural design
  • Strong Experience with load calculations/structural calculations
  • Experience with structural design and CAD software, such as Autodesk Inventor, or Autodesk Advanced Steel.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills
