Our Client, Knowsley Council, is seeking a Team Manager to join their Children's MDT.

Responsibilities of this role:

  • Providing strong leadership and management oversight to a team of dedicated social workers and support staff.
  • Overseeing the triage, assessment, and allocation of incoming safeguarding referrals, ensuring timely responses and appropriate interventions.
  • Collaborating closely with partner agencies, including police, health services, education, and housing, to facilitate information sharing and joint decision-making.
  • Conducting regular case reviews, performance evaluations, and supervision sessions to support staff development and ensure the quality of practice.
  • Acting as a point of escalation for complex cases and providing expert advice and guidance to frontline practitioners.
  • Representing the MASH team in multi-agency meetings, case conferences, and court proceedings as required.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of MASH processes, policies, and procedures to enhance service delivery and outcomes.

Requirements of this role:

  • Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
  • Must have minimum of 2 years’ experience as Social Work Team Manager
