Annual Salary: £38,931 - £46,578 plus welcome bonus and annual retention bonus

Location: Bromley Civic Centre (Hybrid Working)

Job Type: Permanent, Full Time



We are seeking dedicated Social Workers to join our team in Bromley, focusing on family support and safeguarding. This role is crucial in fulfilling the authority’s responsibilities under the Children Act 1989 and other relevant legislation, ensuring the welfare of children. The ideal candidate will be passionate about child protection and experienced in children’s social care.

Day-to-day of the role:

Conduct assessments and provide support to children and families within statutory guidelines.

Develop and implement intervention programmes, reviewing their effectiveness regularly.

Work collaboratively with other professionals to ensure a multi-disciplinary approach to child protection.

Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring all actions are in compliance with legal and organisational standards.

Participate in safeguarding and care planning service activities, contributing to the development of the service.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Care.

Registration with Social Work England or ability to obtain registration prior to commencement of employment.

Experience in children and families social work within a statutory, voluntary, or independent sector organisation.

Knowledge of the Children Act 1989, the 2004 Children Act Amendment, and other relevant legislation and guidance.

Strong assessment and analytical skills.

Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing.

Effective time management skills.

Understanding, knowledge, and skills in valuing diversity.

Current driving licence and use of own car/vehicle for business purposes.
