Social Worker - Children in Care
  • Location: Gloucestershire (Gloucester, Stroud or Cheltenham)
  • Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

We are seeking a dedicated Social Worker to join our newly formed 0-18 Children in Care teams in Gloucestershire. This role is pivotal in delivering exceptional service and ensuring the best possible outcomes for children and young people in the area. You will be building positive relationships and providing continuous support and protection for those in need.

Day to day of the role:
  • Develop trusting relationships with children or young people in care, from the initiation of the legal order until they reach 18.
  • Offer practice knowledge and skills to team members, supporting the team manager in embedding learning and enabling children and young people to achieve their potential.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within the service and partner agencies to provide comprehensive support.
  • Ensure the delivery of a first-class service through effective case management and planning.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Diploma or degree in social work, CQSW, CSS, or equivalent.
  • Registration with Social Work England (SWE).
  • UK-based statutory social work experience.
  • Completion of the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) if qualified after 2012.
  • A full driving licence and willingness to drive.
  • DBS clearance.
