Job Title: Children's Residential Home Manager (Ofsted Registered)

Location: Milton Keynes

Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum + 10% Bonus

Contract type: Permanent, Full-time

Are you an experienced and passionate Children's Residential Home Manager looking for a new opportunity to make a positive impact? We are currently seeking a dedicated and dynamic individual to join our team as a Manager for our Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) registered home based in Milton Keynes.

There is currently one child living within the home which has capacity for three in total. There are no plans to increase occupancy currently.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the residential home, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and support to children with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
  • Lead and motivate a dedicated team of staff, providing guidance, training, and support to promote professional development.
  • Develop and implement care plans tailored to each child's unique needs, working closely with relevant stakeholders including social workers, parents/guardians, and external agencies.
  • Monitor and maintain the home's compliance with Ofsted regulations and standards, ensuring all required paperwork and records are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with the wider team to create a nurturing environment that promotes the physical, emotional, and mental well-being of the children in your care.
  • Act as a positive role model for both staff and children, promoting a culture of respect, inclusion, and safety.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Deputy or Registered Manager in a children's residential home setting, preferably with experience in EBD.
  • A relevant social work or equivalent qualification (NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and requirements, with a proven track record of maintaining a "Good" rating.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, families, and external stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Flexibility to participate in an on-call rota and attend occasional evening/weekend meetings.
