Pay Rate: £11.82 - £14.50  per hour

Hours: Full-time, 36 hours per week. Initial contract is 3 months.

Main Duties of the Children's Centre Worker:

  • Assist in planning, delivering, and assessing community and centre-based activities aimed at supporting young children's learning, development, and health, ensuring consistently high-quality provision.
  • Contribute to planning and delivering appropriate activities aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework, fostering the learning and development of young children.
  • Evaluate family needs and identify suitable services to address those needs, collaborating with internal teams and external agencies, and providing referrals when necessary.
  • Raise awareness among parents and carers regarding child development needs, while modelling and sharing best practices.
  • Provide appropriate support to parents and carers, including guidance on parenting skills and behaviour management strategies.
  • Attend to children's individual care requirements, such as feeding and toileting, adhering to centre policies and guidelines.

Requirements of the Children's Centre Worker:

  • Possess Level 2 or 3 in Early Years.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrate the legal right to work and reside in the UK. Present a current DBS check and references covering the past 2 years.
  • Must have the capacity to travel to Hillingdon and throughout the Southwest Locality, spanning from Uxbridge through Hillingdon to West Drayton.
