Contract (3 months+)
£23 per hour umbrella
The role:
- To take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young persons who you come into contact with.
- To be the first point of contact for all visitors to the centre, providing information or referring to the appropriate member of staff.
- To provide word-processing skills for the production of letters/reports and publicity material as required in connection with the duties of the post.
- To provide general clerical/administrative duties including minute taking for meetings, photocopying, filing, record keeping, maintaining diaries, receipt/distribution of post etc.
- To be responsible for the maintenance of confidential children's/families records and to liase with relevant bodies.
- To use and maintain the computer packages provided for the input of data and extraction of information and be responsible for preparing and providing monitoring and statistical information and regular reports as required by centre management. EYSMT and funder terms and conditions.
The candidate:
- Three years administrative experience with minimal supervisions
- Experience of providing administrative support to a team of mangers/staff
- Sound knowledge and well-developed skills in the use of ICT, particularly the operation of work processing, database and spreadsheet programmes
- Ability to work to own initiative, organise own workload without direct supervision
- Ability to type 40 wpm. A typing test will be given)
- Ability to work to the councils high standards of customer care
