Job title: Children’s Care Practitioner (Support Worker), London
Reporting to: Deputy Manager, Salary Range: £13.00 ph-£15.00 ph (Dependent on Experience and Qualifications)
Hours: Full Time/Part Time Shifts available 7 days a week. Day: 08.00 to 20.00 Night: 20:00 to 08.00
However, there is scope for flexibility, so applicants who cannot work full-time are still encouraged to apply.
Location: North West London
Our client is a Residential Children’s home for children up to the age of 18 years. The team member would support young people with Emotional and/or Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
We are looking to recruit flexible, enthusiastic individuals with a positive, caring attitude towards our clients young people. The role will include all aspects of implementing their care plan and we are looking for someone who will listen to our clients young people and help them, keep them safe and go the extra mile for them.
About the role:
As a Care Practitioner, you would be expected to:
- Actively safeguard and promote the welfare of young people.
- Promote structure and consistent boundaries within the home.
- Provide a positive role model for young people.
- Empower young people to help them regulate their emotions and behaviour.
- Support young people by following a structured therapeutic model of care.
- Provide and participate in leisure activities in line with care plans.
- Our client uses Clear Care as their web base system to record and evidence their young people’s day-to-day care and outcomes achieved.
About you:
- Level 3 Children’s qualification or willingness to complete.
- Computer Literate.
- Experience maintaining accurate records, writing reports to professionals, or being willing to learn.
- Minimum of 6 months experience working as a Care Practitioner supporting children in a residential setting.
