Service Care Legal are currently working alongside a thriving Local Authority, based in Greater Manchester, which is in need of an experienced Childcare Solicitor to join their team.

Role: Childcare Solicitor

Location: Greater Manchester, hybrid working

Contract Length: 3 months ongoing

Rate of Pay: £50-£55ph umbrella

The Role:

This company is seeking a highly skilled Senior Childcare Solicitor to provide legal support and advice across the Council on matters relating to childcare related issues. As a Childcare Solicitor, you will be responsible for the delivery of legal advice and support in the following legal specialism.

  • To manage a personal caseload of Childcare Law cases through to completion
  • To hold a mixed caseload of care proceedings and pre-proceedings

Key Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for the delivery of legal advice and support in the legal specialisms of childcare.
  • To manage a personal caseload of Childcare Law cases through to completion
  • Hold a mixed caseload of care proceedings and pre-proceedings

Qualifications:

  • A qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister with a minimum of 12 months' PQE
  • Previous experience of Childcare within a local authority
  • Experienced in undertaking own advocacy
