A special school in Leeds is seeking a Child Support Worker to join their team of dedicated support staff. The school caters for children aged 2 to 19 years with learning disabilities, PMLD and complex medical conditions. They are looking for a Child Support Worker to join them on a full-time basis from the end of February half term to the end of the academic year.

As a Child Support Worker, your roles and responsibilities will be:

* To support to the pupils in your class in accordance to their care plan.
* Work alongside the class teacher and other support staff to ensure the health and well-being of each child is kept safe.
* To help run exciting lessons with sensory activities which help to enhance the skills of the children.
* To support physically disabled children with mobility which may also include utilising the school's swimming pool so the pupils can experience water play.
* Due to the severity of the conditions of the children, you may also be required to support with personal care.

Previous experience of support or care work is required as this experience will assist you in catering to the needs of the children and adding to their quality of life.
