With over 200 years of history, this renowned company is recruiting a Chief Sub-Editor to join its technical division team.

THE JOB:

As the Chief Sub-Editor, you will oversee the quality control of a wide array of written content, spanning from thought leadership reports and papers to learning materials, news stories, blogs, and marketing assets. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining the organisation's high standards for accuracy, authority, and clarity.

- Lead the production team's subbing operation, ensuring impeccable written content across diverse formats
- Act as a mentor and guide, fostering a culture of editorial excellence within the wider team
- Develop and maintain a style guide, becoming the division's resident style expert
-Manage and deliver projects on time, within budget and to the highest standards, liaising with stakeholders at all levels.

KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- 5+ years of senior sub-editing experience across print and digital platforms
- Impeccable grammar, punctuation and editorial judgment and a meticulous eye for detail
- Significant experience in managing and delivering editorial projects
- Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe InDesign and other Creative Cloud software

SALARY & BENEFITS:
- £55,000 per annum (permanent role)
- 25 days holiday + public holidays + Christmas shutdown
- Hybrid working
- Up to 8% contributory pension
