Do you hold a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and PGCE for secondary or an equivalent teaching certification required for this position?

Do you possess prior teaching experience specifically tailored to Key Stage 3 and 4 levels within the UK educational system?

In this role, you'll have the rewarding role of inspiring students and fostering a genuine enthusiasm for the subject. Through engaging lessons, practical experiments, and interactive learning activities, you'll ignite their curiosity and deepen their understanding of the subject.

We're in search of a committed teacher to join our educational team in Preston, offering support to students in KS3 and KS4. The daily pay rate for this role varies from £155 to £230, contingent upon your experience, qualifications, and teaching level.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to subject development by producing, reviewing and updating curriculum plans and schemes of work
  • Strong knowledge of the curriculum
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Teach classes allocated and provide a well planned challenging, purposeful learning environment
  • Develop approach to self - directed learning, use technology to support learning
  • Use assessment data to inform lesson planning
  • Set homework and mark promptly
  • Ensure a high quality of teaching and learning takes place
  • Deal with immediate problems/emergencies according to school policy and procedures
  • Respond to questioning
  • Supervise and support students in laboratory experiments and research projects.

  • Managing behaviour of pupils whilst undertaking work to ensure a constructive environment
  • Strong classroom management
  • Motivated and enthusiastic demeanour
  • Be an inspiring and engaging communicator
  • Use imagination and innovation to enhance learning experience

Personal attributes:

  • You will have a genuine passion for teaching
  • Experience up to key stage 3/4
  • QTS/PGCE equivalent
