Chemistry Teacher Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver dynamic and interactive chemistry lessons that capture students' interest and promote a deep understanding of key concepts.
• Utilize hands-on experiments, demonstrations, and multimedia resources to enhance learning and facilitate practical application of theoretical knowledge.
• Implement the national curriculum effectively, covering topics such as atomic structure, chemical bonding, and organic chemistry, while fostering scientific inquiry and critical thinking skills.
• Assess student progress through regular formative assessments, practical experiments, and summative evaluations, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
• Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment where students feel empowered to ask questions, explore scientific phenomena, and develop their scientific literacy.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular links, participate in departmental meetings, and contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Relevant university degree in Chemistry or a related field.
• PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience within UK schools is required for candidates holding an overseas teaching degree.

This is a contract role paying to scale, offering a salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
