Chemistry Teacher needed for KS3 and KS4!

In this role, you'll play a crucial role in inspiring students to explore the fascinating world of chemistry. You'll lead engaging lessons, conduct experiments, and provide hands-on learning experiences that spark curiosity and deepen understanding.

We're in search of a committed teacher to join our educational team in Wigan, offering support to students in KS3 and KS4. The daily pay rate for this role varies from £155 to £230, contingent upon your experience, qualifications, and teaching level.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to subject development by producing, reviewing and updating curriculum plans and schemes of work
• Strong knowledge of the curriculum
• Punctual and reliable
• Teach classes allocated and provide a well planned challenging, purposeful learning environment
• Develop approach to self - directed learning, use technology to support learning
• Use assessment data to inform lesson planning
• Set homework and mark promptly
• Ensure a high quality of teaching and learning takes place
• Deal with immediate problems/emergencies according to school policy and procedures
• Respond to questioning
• Supervise and support students in laboratory experiments and research projects.

Personal attributes:

• You will have a genuine passion for teaching
• Experience up to key stage 3/4
• QTS/PGCE equivalent
• Be flexible and committed
