Marston Holdings Limited in partnership with Manchester Metropolitan University has a new and exciting opportunity for a GraduateChartered Manger Degree Apprentice to join their Contact Centre function on a full time, permanent basis.

The Position & Key Responsibilities

On our 4-year programme you will complete a series of placements within our contact centre and supporting functions, progressing at pace, and taking on more responsibility each year.

You will study for a BA (Hons) Business and Management and chartered status (CMI) at Manchester Metropolitan University. This will be delivered over a four-year period through blended learning, the programme combines real time management experience with online learning modules, lectures, and face to face tuition at Manchester Metropolitan University.

Year 1: Working on the front line in our telephony team, getting to know the detail of our business, before stepping up into a Team Leader role.

Year 2: As a new Team Leader under secondment, you will be learning about managing a team, how to recruit new team members, managing performance, productivity and engagement and monitoring quality and providing feedback and coaching.

Year 3: Having proven yourself under secondment your Team Leader role will be formalised, and you will spend time interacting with the wider business. This will include working closely with our Account Managers, Finance department and Bid writing teams.

Year 4: Moving on to the final stage as an Operations Manager you will be managing a group of Team Leaders, having responsibility for achieving monthly client service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs), formulating plans to anticipate and rectify any performance shortfalls, as well as proposing and implementing innovations to improve the efficiency and productivity of your teams.

Person specification

  • GSCEs at Grade 4-9 / A*-C including English and Maths or and 3 A Levels Grades A-C or equivalent BTEC MD or Min 104 UCAS points.
  • You must be able to travel to Oldham / Helmshore and Manchester Metropolitan University on a regular basis.
  • Agile approach to change and open to new ideas
  • Flexible to meet business requirements.
  • Excellent planning, time management and organisational skills
  • Team player, both as a member and a leader
  • Ability to remain focused and decisive when working to specified targets in a pressured environment.
  • Ability to analyse KPIs to manage performance.
  • Effective communication and organisational skills
  • Good understanding and use of Microsoft Office Applications
