You will be working for a leading and award-winning construction company that offers a comprehensive range of construction consultancy services across a wide range of sectors including, housing, education, health, care, blue light, commercial, and regeneration and mixed use. Your new role
This role will immerse you in an array of stimulating projects, encompassing national refurbishments and ground-breaking new builds spanning various sectors, including residential, education, health, care, commercial, and the essential blue light services.
Your Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with our esteemed Head of Construction Design & Management, operating under the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
  • Dive into projects at all RIBA stages 1-6, taking your involvement from conceptualisation to realisation.
  • Spearhead the planning, management, monitoring, and coordination of health and safety during the pre-construction phase.
  • Act as a key advisor to our clients, facilitating the gathering of critical preconstruction data and ensuring the seamless flow of information for designers and contractors to perform their duties efficiently.
  • Forge strong collaborations with fellow designers on each project to identify and eliminate foreseeable health and safety risks, or where that's not feasible, to mitigate and manage those risks effectively.
  • Demonstrate an acute awareness of pertinent information, including the existing health and safety file, that may impact design work both before and after the construction phase.
  • Foster an environment of open communication and seamless cooperation among all stakeholders involved in the preconstruction phase.
  • Maintain a consistent line of communication with the principal contractor, ensuring they are well-informed about any potential risks that need to be meticulously controlled throughout the construction phase.

What you'll need to succeed
The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:

  • A demonstrable wealth of Health & Safety skills and knowledge, showcasing your expertise in this critical field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of invaluable industry experience in the construction and design domain.
  • A professional qualification in Health and Safety, or the motivation to work towards obtaining one.
