We are working with a respected leading electronic security company that have a vacancy for a Technical Support/helpdesk engineer.

This opportunity will see you maintaining and monitoring the Companies REMSERV health checking system along with site networks and systems.

You will be responsible for configuring systems and diagnosing hardware and software faults and solving technical problems either over the phone or face to face with customers/engineers. Including CCTV, Routers, Switches, Servers and Access Control.

Most importantly, as businesses cannot afford to be without their whole system, or individual work stations for more than the minimum time taken to repair or replace them, technical support is vital to the operational efficiency of the company.

As a technical support engineer, you may also be known as a helpdesk operator and may currently work for a software or equipment supplier, providing after sales support or companies providing IT, security maintenance and support.

The ideal candidate would have at least 2 years of industry experience and have worked with Dell, Axix, Hikvision or Bosch CCTV equipment.


Tasks will include:

  • Working with Customers and engineers to identify problems on systems and advising on solutions
  • Logging and keeping records through the " ticketing system "of Customers/engineers queries.
  • Analysing call logs so that common trends and underlying issues can be identified.
  • Updating self help documents so customers/employees can try to fix problems themselves.
  • Working with field engineers to visit customers/employees if the problem is more serious
  • Testing and repairing faulty equipment.
  • Ensuring the engineering team are aware of any necessary product software and firmware updates
  • Liaising with manufacturers and suppliers to ensure timely resolution of any client issues not resolved in house.
  • Continue to work closely with other areas of the business , to ensure that iP24 are well placed to deliver cutting edge technology to its clients and provide a high level of technical support.
  • Manage the company's intruder alarm remote software, galaxy.
  • False alarm Management.
