Catering Assistant

• Job Type: Full-time Monday  - Friday 6am  - 3pm 
• Salary: £30k

We are looking for a dedicated Catering Assistant to join a vibrant catering team. The role involves preparing and serving meals, maintaining kitchen hygiene, and contributing to menu ideas. This position is ideal for someone with a passion for food service and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.

• Assist with preparing approximately 80 hot meals and 20 cold meals per day.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Hygiene regulations and the kitchen’s Food Safety Management System.
• Maintain a tidy kitchen environment, including washing up, emptying the dishwasher, and waste removal.
• Contribute to the creation of a changing weekly menu.
• Refill tea/coffee stations and fruit bowls around the building as needed.
• Monitor stock levels and expiry dates daily.
• Assist with shopping orders and receiving deliveries.

• Level 2 certification in Food Hygiene and Safety.
• Previous experience in a similar catering support role.
• High standards of personal hygiene.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and demanding kitchen.
• Exceptional communication skills and self-motivation.
• Fluency in English.
• Ability to work under pressure with a high sense of urgency.
• Team player with the ability to work independently.
• Highly organised with strong multitasking and prioritisation skills.
• Professional and courteous demeanor.
