We are working with a highly engaging, recognised brand to support recruiting a new Category Manager. Joining a focused team, and reporting to the Head of Category Management, you will be required to support the new projects team, building a list of high-performing and preferred suppliers to support major developments and refurbishment projects. This is an exciting time for someone with strong experience in Hard FM Procurement and Supply Chain to join a growing business and implement a category strategy that delivers results in a key growth area for the business.

Category Manager responsibilities:
* Develop a robust category strategy and negotiate new best-in-class supplier agreements.
* Lead and implement strategic sourcing plans.
* Proactively analyse spend data and contractual T&C's.
* Provide procurement expertise to negotiate optimum supply terms and formalise supply contracts.
* Develop, measure, and monitor KPI's, supply level agreements, supplier performance, and continuous improvement for category.
* Continually strive to improve supplier performance.
* Deliver ongoing benefits to the internal and external customer through supplier management.
* Rationalise and reduce the number of suppliers, establishing a robust list of suppliers to a manageable level and maximise profitability whilst fully understanding the operational requirement and thereby minimising risk and liabilities.

Category Manager Candidate:
* Hard FM experience is essential. You could have previously worked in a more operational role where you were responsible for procurement.
* Strong at building supplier relationships and managing supplier performance.
* Excellent commercial and negotiation skills are essential.
* Experience in managing complex or high-value projects.
* Strong analytical skills and ability to build reports and category strategies.
* Results-oriented and confident decision-maker who thrives working in a fast-paced environment.
* Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint essential).
* Experience of working with CAFM systems and e-Sourcing tools is preferable
* MCIPS Qualified or Degree educated or equivalent is preferable.
