Key responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough customer insight and research, becoming the authority on customer demographics, purchasing behaviours, and key buying criteria.
- Analyse the competitive and market landscape comprehensively.
- Identify and understand key market and channel trends, devising effective penetration strategies to enhance the end-user experience.
- Develop and oversee a customer-centric go-to-market strategy tailored to the category.
- Establish segmentation, targeting, and positioning plans to effectively reach target audiences.
- Determine range policy and coverage needs based on market indicators.
- Lead market launches of new products, securing optimal customer shelf-space.
- Strategically plan and implement marketing tactics throughout the product lifecycle.
- Craft key messaging to differentiate products/services from competitors.
- Drive the development and execution of category communications and content marketing plans in collaboration with the marketing communications team.
- Define and oversee the creation of appropriate category support materials in partnership with the communications team.
- Implement tactics to achieve revenue, profitability, and market share growth for the category.
- Utilise key financial and economic indicators to inform strategic decisions.
- Serve as the category Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing sales training and knowledge transfer to customer-facing teams.
- Lead process development and implementation as a marketing leader.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Degree or qualification in Marketing or a related field.
- Previous experience in Category, Product, or Trade Marketing.
- Proven track record of working in a marketing capacity in a multi-country role.
- Experience within Tier 1 automotive suppliers or OEMs is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of key economic indicators, financial drivers, and business metrics to formulate effective strategies.
- Demonstrable capability in translating trends, data, and insights into actionable marketing strategies.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Collaborative team player with meticulous attention to detail.
